Word 2003: "Match Case" always selected?

I'm having a strange problem with Word 2003. For some reason, whenever I use Find or Find/Replace, "Match Case" is selected by default, and I must open the extra settings and clear it each time.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea how to fix it? Thanks, A.
