About 15 years ago I read a novel about a woman who becomes a portrait photographer. Her father had been the photographer in their home business and she took over after he died, quite by accident, as she never took his business sign down and people kept showing up. Eventually she started taking photos of them, allowing them to wander about, sitting where they wanted, utilizing whatever disused old props they absentmindedly picked up.....I have been searching for this book for years, can anyone help me find it?
Is there any other information you can give us? Do you remember the name of the woman or her father? Was it fiction or non-fiction? Anything else you can remember might be able to help us.
Recently, I had trouble finding a book, too. I had a few somewhat vague details so people were unable to help me.
However, I came across a link that contains a bunch of URLs. Each link brings you to a different place where you can type in an author or book title, and it will suggest other books you may like.
If you remember who the author sounded like (i.e. "The writing style was like that of John Steinbeck") this might help you out. It helped me locate my book!
