I've meant to start a thread like this before, but failed to be enterprising.
I still think it is a good idea, for us to work up ideas for how to work with the food we can have at hand.

Obviously people will differ on what they like and what they have on hand, so, go for it and post. Some will not have a money problem but a refrigerator problem.

I'll start with store ground pork and quite old frozen homemade focaccia.
The homemade focaccia is because I make my own bread for money reasons and because I like baking and sometimes like the results.

In the case of this focaccia, it was just ok, and I kept it in the freezer forever.
S0, it was a flattish bread with some onions and sweet peppers (sauteed), squished into it. Eh! It got frozener and frozener, foil wrapped, and taking up room. But, edible, so it kept getting to stay.

When I bought the pork, I was thinking of making my own sausages. Or maybe meatloaf. Meatloaf can use some bread..

What happened is that I took one package of the miserable old focaccia and two large eggs and the food processor beaten pork and whipped them around, and then formed patties and sauteed them.

Now I have a dozen porky pattes. They will probably be too bland, but that is fixable. Hey, a dozen breakfasts.
