IE Browser won't prompt for most downloads

When i click on an extension such as a url with a zip file, the file is automatically open from it source in a temp directory, I don't recieve the prompt of open file from this location or save file as. Anyone know what to do to fix this problem?

Sounds to me like you are just talking about XP's built in Zip support.

If so, you can turn it off like this:

Start Menu > Run

Type in:

regsvr32 /u %windir%\system32\zipfldr.dll

I don't kno what happened, but when i click a download file now link, the file goes to a temp folder, what happened to the open file from location and save as option?
