problem finding modem?

Depends on your operating system, but go to control panel, there should be a modem or phones and modem icon. Click on it and on the modem tab.

Alternatively go to control panel>system>hardware tab>device manager and see if there's a modem in the list. If modem is listed expand the branch.

Hi Wilso, I emailed you once before Iam the lady from Canada?
But you know now I have another problem:
I just bought a computer and installed Microsoft XP, and then installed and AOL CD free 540 hours, and tried to connect to the internet via My internal modem to my phone jack, however, AOL kept saying cannot detect a modem,
Is this:
A. because my computer is new?
B. Do I have to install my Modem (internal)?and if so how?
C. Did I do something wrong?
D. And which modem in the drop down list do I add ??
I would really appreciate your assistance on this?
