As I was pushing myself to get reinvolved with A2K I really thought that I needed to rejig my general appearance to show that maybe things had changed.

So I did a bit of trolling around Google Image Search (I use it a lot, anyone noticed?) and got this as a hit.

The Isles of Shoals Series

October 16 - December 16, 2001

Carney Gallery
Fine Arts Center, Regis College

The northeast seacoast is a powerful subject. It is both monumental and intimate. Patrick Healey's pure images of sea-meditations convey the bleaching intensity of light on the ocean and shoreline in a manner that clearly presents this paradox. Healey's horizon lines stress the plain geometry of the sky over a calm sea with cottages as spatial markers. The result is a minimal landscape, usually wide and low. Space and interval are used with the utmost deliberation, and each element achieves perfect pitch. Healey's work speaks to the quiet awe to boundless space. The Isles of Shoals Series presents Patrick Healey's most recent paintings. The stillness of the water in windless air and self-effacing beauty of the cottages are Healey's means of exploring exquisite nuances of light and atmosphere.

Soon as I saw this I thought, 'We're on'. Had to crop it a little to fit A2K specifications. The Paul Simon thing has just been rattling around in my head for a while.

Word for word.....

'Graceland'

The Mississippi Delta was shining
Like a National guitar
I am following the river
Down the highway
Through the cradle of the civil war

I'm going to Graceland
Graceland
In Memphis Tennessee
I'm going to Graceland
Poorboys and Pilgrims with families
And we are going to Graceland
My traveling companion is nine years old
He is the child of my first marriage
But I've reason to believe
We both will be received
In Graceland

She comes back to tell me she's gone
As if I didn't know that
As if I didn't know my own bed
As if I'd never noticed
The way she brushed her hair from her forehead
And she said losing love
Is like a window in your heart
Everybody sees you're blown apart
Everybody sees the wind blow

I'm going to Graceland
Memphis Tennessee
I'm going to Graceland
Poorboys and Pilgrims with families
And we are going to Graceland

And my traveling companions
Are ghosts and empty sockets
I'm looking at ghosts and empties
But I've reason to believe
We all will be received
In Graceland

There is a girl in New York City
Who calls herself the human trampoline
And sometimes when I'm falling, flying
Or tumbling in turmoil I say
Oh, so this is what she means
She means we're bouncing into Graceland
And I see losing love
Is like a window in your heart
Everybody sees you're blown apart
Everybody sees the wind blow

In Graceland, in Graceland
I'm going to Graceland
For reasons I cannot explain
There's some part of me wants to see
Graceland
And I may be obliged to defend
Every love, every ending
Or maybe there's no obligations now
Maybe I've a reason to believe
We all will be received
In Graceland

Yeah - I liked the 'Special K' thing, but this seems to be a better fit right now.

I see that among cane toads and rabbits, Aussie artists seem to be pests as well.

The teefs. Don't worry Roger you were in good company, Mizzes Lowan and Margo went to town on that one.....

I did revert to the wine motif briefly when CdK moved the site (1st/2nd time?). Wasted a lot of my employer's time trying to find animated gifs that fitted the A2K specs - in the end I found them too distracting.
