Many thanks to Lash Goth and Piffka for their wishes. I am in a 72-hours' leave, but tomorrow I return to the outfit. All the best to everyone, both soldiers and civilians.

Pueo, the article brought back many sad memories. I remember with horror how many lives were lost and the shock of the attack.

Were you there? Would you be willing to tell of your experience?

Thank you for the reminder.

Some folks think we've only been at war with terrorism for a couple years. Selective memory is a convenient thing.

So true, Timber. I remember an article originally posted by Phoenix and also referred to by Steissd that describes how the science of war has changed over the centuries until the present.

One thing that struck me was that war won't ve so much one country against another, but sects striking at random to cause terror, in hopes of overturning forces that they percieve to be of danger to them. Also, that each citizen will, ultimately, be a part of an ongoing war.
