on attempted murder charge

DELRAY BEACH — A 34-year-old motorcycle shop owner is wanted
after he allegedly shot a man who tried to steal a motorcycle
from his store last month, police said Tuesday night.
A warrant has been issued for Aurelio Gabriel Silva, of Boynton Beach,
on charges of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm
and carrying a concealed firearm.
Police alleged that Silva shot Louis Jason Santos, 32, in the early
morning of Oct. 20 after Santos and an unidentified man allegedly
broke into the Motorcycle Avenue store in suburban Delray Beach
and took off on motorcycles.
It looks like he probably violated the extant law,
but if I were on his jury, I d argue to get him acquitted.
