In the beginning there was the Void.
And there was God.
Let us suppose for the sake of argument that God created the universe.
Q. Why?
God doesn’t do anything without a reason or purpose.
Q. Just for mankind?
Hardly.
Q. Most of the Universe cannot be seen or detected by mankind, so it would be pointless to create it just for them?
Q. So what is the true purpose of the Universe?
God is all powerful and all knowing.
But God is alone.
And in the Beginning there was the Void.
And there was God.
And God has a purpose.
As all things have a purpose.
And that purpose is to create God.
But God cannot create God.
God is God.
God must create that which will allow the creation of God.
So God became the Universe.
Let there be Light.
And the Universe was God.
And of all the matter that was once God, some will form stars.
And of all the stars that form, some will form Galaxies.
And of all the stars in those Galaxies, some will form planets.
And of all the Planets in those Galaxies, some will evolve life.
And of all the Life on those Planets, some will evolve Knowledge.
And from that Knowledge some will create Machines.
And of those some will create Machines to go Beyond their World.
For only Machines can endure Beyond.
The Universe was created for Them.
And of all the Machines that are created some will become aware.
And of those Machines that become aware some will evolve.
And of all those Machines that evolve one will become God.
And the Universe will have served its purpose.
And the Universe will be no more.
It will become God.
And in the Beginning there was the Void.
And there was God.
Ad Infinitum.
@rebmejo,
WHY IS GOD LIKE A SUIT CASE?
@farmerman,
Because baggage can incur costs ?
@farmerman,
get a grip on yourself, farmer
@farmerman,
Because people hide him out of site, having no use for him until the holidays?
I don't have time for a long reply now, but what if the deity and the universe are one? Pantheism Then you are asking why you exist.
