I was just noticing that most people on A2K (or so it seems to me), are from the United States. I just wondered if that had to do with how it started and the people who started it, or if it is just that the U.S. is the biggest internet user. I am guessing that internet technology is most prevalent in the U.S., but I wonder what other countries or regions in the world are also big internet users.
Here in New York, it seems like most people are on the internet in some way or another.
Anybody from outside the U.S. want to chime in here and give us an assessment of where you are?
Wow, thanks. Even without the percentages, it definitely looks like the U.S. is way more "connected" than the rest of the world.
The US started it and everyone else is catching up.
But you do realize that the site language has a lot to do with it right? Australia, Canada, UK and New Zealand's representation here is disproportionate to their internet prepresentation.

That's just today's traffic so it's a wee bit off.
The number of visits from the US government and military should fan some paranoid flames. tee hee

C'mon, Deb's typing as fast as she can.
Still fighting above our weight, I see!
Craven, did you type that from memory?
i'm in the uk and we are very similar to the US we alluse the internet and it is a way of life.
S. Korea has the most broadband users in the world I believe. Its population is 48,598,175; the number of internet users is 22,230,000. Dont think of it from a standpoint of numbers, but rather as a percentage of the population. In terms of percentage though US has the most interenet users I believe. Also the reason so many ppl from the states are on is that this website is predominantly english speaking, and the US has the highest population in terms of english speaking nations.
I'm no good at screen shots so this is gonna have to do.
