well, as always, Saturday filled with things I have to do for my job (journalist) - just going to sports hall to cover international taekwondo tournament, then home to lunch, watch Croatia-Belarus game on TV (European U21 soccer championship), play one round of Super Mario Karts with my daughter, then final night of open-air futsal tournament in my town...later, maybe going to one club, maybe not.

I am going to go out blueberry picking today. It is the one thing in my life that affords me unmitigated joy. Standing out in the hot fields, just me and the earth and the sky, affords me a pleasure unlike any other!

I need to fill some perscriptions, go out for lunch, watch a movie....it will be a lazy relaxing day I hope. We just got 'Return of the King' on DVD, so I'm looking forward to seeing it again.

This is going to be a perfect Saturday in the city. A quick trip to the Farmer's Market at Union Square for a breakfast muffin, a couple of errands mid-town (got to return some un-used computer cables -- I have a new desk!) then I have to go to work Rolling Eyes till six.

I am jealous of Phoenix with her blueberries and birdsong, blue sky and greened up fields.... the plink, plonk, plonk, as the berries go into the tin buckets.

Smile Joe

Off to the Orlando International Fringe Festival, for a day of theater. More of the same tomorrow. Will end up seeing 26 shows over the 10 day event.

Joe, "kuplink, kuplank, kuplunk".

(I've read that one 85 thousand times, too.)

Sounds great, Phoenix!

Well, I am back. (The field is only 10 minutes from my house)I picked 6 1/2 pounds of the most gorgeous blueberries. I love to go between the rows of bushes. Most people won't venture there, so you can pick the biggest fruit there!

I was hot as hell out there, but definitely worth it. There are probably another couple of weeks left in the season. I think I will take myself there one more time.

I'm going to take a shower, call up a buddy, and go oggle (is it "oggle" or "ogle"?) women in the park as we stroll around on a beatiful sunny day. Maybe I'll go down to the Union Square market too, now that you mention it, Joe.

Hi,
I haven't been on the forum for awhile, but I try to check in once in awhile. I had some fun posting in the TV forum, but now it's time to go back to work. Just wanted to say hello to everyone, and wish everyone who has it, a good long holiday weekend!

cav, i got the Return of the King yesterday, watched it into the wee hours of this morning, until the upstairs neighbor decided to do the laundry, which takes place right under our bedroom. grrrrrrr, 8am, have people no consideration whatsoever?!

Nice to see you again, Edithdoll..

Today is my Saturday to work the gallery, am leaving for it shortly. It's a beautiful day here: the thermometer on the back porch reads 71 degrees, the sun is out, and the sky is crystalline blue.
