The best answer! Funny how people confuse this place for Wikipedia.

... and confuse it with Google ... and Facebook. They (newbies) don't understand or care that there's a boundary or a separate 'place' in each instance comprised of different communities.

People just type into the ether and expect the Internet itself to answer the specifics of their esoteric or vaguely-worded questions - not even knowing that they're even connecting to a forum called A2K (all curmudgeons - all the time).

Us (A2k regs), on the other hand, may forget a newby's expertise level with language or expertise using an computer in general. Ask 50% of our regulars what applications are in the 'cloud' and what is local to their computer. Or even what is OS based vs application based and they'd be stumped.

It's all relatives

To be fair, the site is called Able2Know and was started and continues to be promoted as a question answering site -
Ask an Expert at able2know - Ask Questions, Share Answers.
This always included, for example, homework questions. On that, the culture here wants to see some effort by the questioner about how they have tried to work out those homework questions.

Not all questioners are internet savvy, as many of us weren't when we started going online.
