I do, I love it.
I am a musician, the lead guitarist and backup/grudge vocalist of my band, and I love it for the instruments, though some may recognise the screaming as satanic or off putting. I listen to/cover/write songs containing none of the such, whereas I listen to/cover/write songs that tell a story, send a message, or exhaust a point of view through lyrics; with the music still being the main desire of mine. Bands such as Suicide Silence have great sounding music and well placed vocals, though lyrically they can come out as being satanic or evil or whatever and need to explain what the lyrics mean. Though I don't listen to them, I thought it would be a good example.
My favourites include;
-Periphery. <3
-Lamb of God. (They changed their name to stop people from thinking they were satanists)
-As I Lay Dying. (Off putting as they sound, they are all Christian)
-Slipknot. (These guys are actors that lyrically exaggerate their live stories and ideas)
-We Butter the Bread with Butter. (Awesome)
-Between the Buried and Me. (Yesh!)
-Adept. (I only like "Secrets")
-Avenged Sevenfold. (Enough Said)
-Dethklok. (lol)
-Pantera. (Very original)
-Tool. (SOOTHING AS HECK!!)
-System of a Down. (
)
-Meshuggah. (Yes!)
-Mudvayne. (I love that bassist)
