Calculating cash ratio

When you have GDP , amount of cash floating in market, deposits (till demand). How do you calculate the cash ratio?

I was thinking CR=(GDP+ cash in the market)/deposits, but I'am not sure.

PS. I'am translating these figures from my native language, so the terms may sound abit different, but you should understand Smile
