The air intake into a compressor is at a press of 1 bar and a temperature 25ÂșC, with a mass flow rate of 0.5 kg/s. The air is discharged from the compressor at 10 bar and a velocity of 20m/s. The discharged air is then delivered to a 10m^3 storage tank through a piping system, the heat loss from which is 5kW. The compressor runs for one minute before being switched off. Find:

(i) the power required to drive the compressor, and (ii) the temperature of the compressed air at the inlet of the storage tank.

Assume the intake velocity is negligible compared with the discharged velocity, the compression is isentropic and there is specific heat at constant pressure (Cp)for air= 1.005 kJ/kg K and the index of isentropic compression for air = 1.4. State any assumption made
