What is the best mediaplayer software (playback MP3's and DVDs but mostly for DVDs)?

I'm sick and tired of Windows Media Player. For one thing, I would like to turn my computer off in the middle of the movie then start it later and have the media player remember where on the DVD I was last watching.

Also, I would one with better (more precise) forward and rewind feature. A media player that's more like an actual DVD player in its usability.

For some years I have been using the excellent free VLC Media Player, available for most types of system (Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and more) which you can get here:

I much prefer it to Windows Media Player, and it seems to have the sort of features you mention. I suggest you give it a try.

VLC Media Player is the best option for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux. It is a free, open-source software. And the other good media players are GOM media player, KMPlayer, Pot player, SMPlayer etc.

VLC is the best video player, and by a huge margin (lightyears).

I couldn't tell you whether it has any of the features that you mentioned however.

The best media player is one which supports your PC settings basically VLC media player is one which we use in PC as media player.

i think you should try other media players like KMplayer, universal media player , VLC player

I have normally used VLC, it is very easy to use player, it is the best for forwarding and rewind DVD.

Accordig to me, VLC Media player is the best media player. It provide many advance functions and very easy to use. But system safety purpose we should use only Window Media Player.

VLC is the media player I used most. Recently I found another media player 5KPlayer. It seems to have more functions. Play all kinds of video audio files, DVD and also can use it to listen to online radio. Now I have set it as my default player. But I still keep VLC on my computer just in case.

This question answer is very complicated because of its totally depend on user requirement, operating System and what type of file user want to play with media player because of all the media players offer different functionality.
So, I basically recommended for play Audio and Video file VLC media player is best.
