Filing multiple tax returns
I've always been told that you NEVER send more than one tax return in an envelope. And when the tax return is not for the current year, you make a note on the envelope of which year it is.

What I don't understand is why you didn't go back to the guy who originally filed your return and ask for help. Or else, send the IRS a copy of the missing return, made from the one the guy prepared for you. In the latter case, you should write "POSSIBLE DUPLICATE FILING" on that submission.

I made all my misjudgements based on the advise of IRS representatives.
