I used to have my desk facing the door, not the wall. Sort of like a sand bagged machine gun emplacement. Kept people from seeing Minesweeper on the monitor, if nothing else.

yup -- still have it, still use it.

and that old phone was a converted rotary phone from the dark ages.

they've since modernized with one of them new-fangled phone systems with caller ID and a few other bells n' whistles...
