Hmm...wanted to copy and paste some original stuff, but it wouldn't work. However, here is one from my university days:

STEPHANIE GOT MARRIED

Stephanie got married on a cold November morn,
and I reread the letters she had sent me years before.
I blessed her for her happiness, and wished her all the best,
but held her just a bit too long in my congratulations.

Chorus:
So here's to her good husband and the power of attraction
and the union of two seperate wills in matrimonial heaven,
I've got my piece of Stephanie in the memories that I carry,
and I never will forget the day that Stephanie got married.

I know that our history was no more than diversion

Okay...I tried this spontaneous thing, and the site said it didn't have half my words on file. Anyway...

Simon says, "It looks like rainy days again,
a haze is growing out there on the horizon."

Simon lives a simple life, a suitcase and a bag of strife,
wife is gone, so now he's all alone again.

Simon has made peace with his battle with the bottle,
the ice was thin, so booze moved in, and Simon took the throttle.

(While ashamed to admit it, this was inspired this morning by that episode of American Idol, where the singers needed to sing original songs based on titles, and one of them was 'Simon Says.' All the original songs pretty much sucked...I figured I could do better, at least with lyrics. )
