Not to be hypocritical (and I mean that in the commonly accepted sense, not linguistically derived one), but suzy's quote just isn't funny or clever. I guess whether or not it is funny is a personal opinion (I mean, I may have chuckled inside when I first saw it), but it certainly isn't clever (at least, not... "Thomas Paine clever"... or even "Charles Dickens clever," but more of a less profound and otherwise impaired "e e cummings" kind of clever), and I just thought we should discuss it.
What the heck are you on about SCoates? Where am be this quote you speak of...

Interesting, this thread.
I like the rabbit's anwer: succint.
Get it, Gus?
I'm not familiar with that particular word.
Indubitably. But it'd be powerfully hard work not to miss something.
Go back to bed, Phoenix. Things are going to get ugly here.
'Twasn't a succinct answer - 'twas Suzy's quote..
likely not, Phoenix.
Gustav, see if you can look around the previous posts and find out where Suzy stepped in doody.
I retract my commendation. I thought it was your quote, and you had written the sound of the wind on a still day.
Gus, you have my sincerest apologies, from the bottom of my apology kettle.

We know.
Kindly rectify it.
And - before you ask - that has NOTHING to do with bottoms.
Dlowan, you would have to be thread hopping to catch the true meaning of that quote.
And, patiodog, I accept you apology.
What the hell is it for?

I suppose I could have been succinct and said "Shut up, Dlowan"
My theory is:
when a moderator sticks his nose in a thread it's validation.
