Is there a program that allows you to download music... maybe called something similar to soulsearch?

Kazaa is the most widely used P2P program. There's also Win MX and a host of other ones to waste your time on.

I have kazaa, and it has gone downhill. Someone told me there was one called soulsearch, but I can't find it... I thought maybe he gave me the wrong name.

A much better waste of our time would be to title this thread: "What are the moral implications of downloading music illegally on the internet?"

I know this isn't an answer to your question, but....

It's not "FREE" music.

If you download a song without paying for it, it's not free. It's stolen.

Whoa. Sorry, moderator. That was a legitimate link to my own site wherein resides my own music, which is free. Nothing dishonest, really. If that is a no-no, then my bad.

Not sure I can say here..... Very Happy

One band is straight-ahead rock. Guitar riffs, singable melodies, driving bass and drums. Been compared to Ozzy. Fun stuff. Great live.

The other is more progressive. I've heard people describe it as somewhere between Alice in Chains and John Tesh.

most indie record labels have good free mp3 downloads for the bands they support

matador records has about 50+ domestically and some alternates on their european site

merge records doesn't have downloads per say but usually the bands have sites with downloads

saddle creek records offers a few good cuts from their artists
