It is not the conditioner that comes in the box, because I have used the same conditioner in the next washes and it doesn't have the same effect. Every time I dye my hair, it looks great and shiny, but it changes back to frizzy and dry in the next washes no matter what kind of conditioner or repeated products I use. So, I came to the conclusion that whatever has that effect on my hair, it's in the dye formula. Whatever it is they put in there, I wish they could sell it separately.
I usually use L'oreal and I imagine they add products to soften the hair against the harsh chemicals in the dye, and it's way better than the conditioner they add in the box. Anyone noticed that?
@tsarstepan,
Very helpful. I thought this was supposed to be a forum for questions about hair and beauty, not for stupid sarcasm.
@Perselus,
I wish I knew - 'cause I've experienced the same. I figure they load up the dye with conditioners but then ....? Sorry I got nothing else.
@jespah,
Thanks for you answer. I was beginning to think I was the only one who noticed that. Whatever conditioner that is, they should definitely sell it.
@Perselus,
I notice the same thing.
I thought it was some kind of silicone additive, but didn't think about it too seriously. Whatever it is seems to be in John Frieda's anti-frizz serum because I get the same effect when I use that.
I guess I better check out btrflynet's link.
