I need help to collect the research material (BA thesis)

Since I'm going to write my BA thesis about the productivity of the clipping process in Modern English, I need to collect the research material. I was thinking about some films, forums, chats, articles etc. where I could find any clipped words that people tend to use/used to communicate.

Could you recommend something from what I have mentioned above?
