I loved I'm Into Something Good but never heard the original by the Cookies or knew that Carol King had written it.

This is the first famous singer, I've ever seen live.
"Bobby's Girl" (a cover of the Marcie Blane single), reached number three in the UK Singles Chart at Christmas time in 1962, staying for nineteen weeks.
I saw her in summer 1963 at a "charity event" for the new Poole hospital. (Actually, since I'd been a regular listener to AFN [American forces radio] and CFN [Canadian forces radio] and not to BFBS [British forces radio], I thought, she was a rather unknown singer copying Marcie Blane ...)

The Animals were a large part of my musical life in the early 60's!
The first time I heard the bass intro to We Gotta Get Out Of This Place I was hooked. Only a few months later I had bought my first Fender bass guitar for $150.
This is an exact replica of mine but it's worth $10,000 now

I was married to my first husband in 1961, when this song came out. I really could relate to it!

This was the song that I always think of when I reminisce about my first intense romance. It is so amazing when a person hears a song, and all the memories start rushing back..
