It has to be the Walker Brothers - loved them! But Jerry Butler's version is great too.

Love Potion #9, another song I hadn't hear until The Searchers scored their hit with it.

And that reminds me...another song by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller , two young Jewish guys who found a common love of black Blues and Soul music that started them writing tunes in the vernacular of teens
.
They became famous when their song, Hound Dog, written for Big Mama Thornton became a huge R&B hit in 1953. When Elvis covered it their success was assured.

Kansas City, Yakety Yak, Stand By Me, Ruby Baby, the list seems endless.
Even.. I keep Forgettin' for Chuck Jackson, later a huge hit for Michael McDonald.
