New “Chromecast,” a $35 HDMI dongle to get video streams to your TV
Google's latest device lets you throw video to your TV from other devices.

You get the dongle you pay for in Google’s Chromecast
A review of the little stick that sticks Netflix, YouTube, and more up on your TV.

They've been sold out less then a week after they were placed on the market. I plan on buying/reserving one after I move at the end of Sept. Hopefully Google will get its act together and make a much larger batch next time.

Do you know anyone who bought this dongle when it was briefly on sale? $35 plus it came with 6 months Netflix for free. Basically it paid for itself.

Thinking about abandoning cable. Anybody have a report on this dongle?
