Just wanting to compare notes with others about religion. It seems to me, when I read some history books on the Medieval Ages, and it seems to me that the Church uses its teachings to control people, even if it has nothing to do with their teachings, or the Bible. Also, weren't the Crusades and 9-11 caused, not necessarily for religion, but in the name of it? Just curious on if this is true or not.

I would say your summary is more true than not. But there are lots of religions and I don't think they all behave the same way, so I would be a bit careful before bundling them all up in the same wrapper.
A refresher course in the English language wouldn't hurt, either.
