Thin Again: Wardrobe Dilemma

In the last year, I've lost 40 pounds. I have 20-25 pounds to go--and then I'm going to need a new wardrobe.

I hate shopping for clothes, but I'll manage.

The Problem:

Instinct tells me to get rid of every single bit of my Formerly Fat Wardrobe so that if I backslide into sloth and gluttony I'll either have to go unclad or spend money.

Or should I save my fat clothes just-in-case?

I dunno, but a friend of mine recently lost weight, and she bagged up all her big clothes and hid them in the basement.

Oh, to have such a problem.

Um, get rid of them. Even if "just-in-case", they will be out of style, or whatever.

I'd save them. You could always use them for rags in the garage -- for when you're changing the oil in your car, of refinishing that antique walnut dresser you got from your grandma.

I've dropped 53 lbs. in the last year and I am having the same dilemma. I'm keeping my clothes for "just in case", but I may need to invest in a couple pairs of slim-cut jeans for the day-to-day. The loose-fit jeans I currently wear....well, I'm swimming in them.

I have a weight problem too. I look like a bronze statue; a sort of greek god kind of look. I can neither add weight of lose weight.

I'm growing weary of this chiseled look.

Any suggestions?

Well, I started with just eating smaller, more balanced meals, maybe 4-5 small meals a day to keep up the metabolism. Then I had to go on diuretics for my liver condition, as I developed severe ascites. That did the trick for those last few pounds, not that I would reccomend it though.

Noddy: Take my advice, please. Hold on to them. Then, you'll not have to worry about goody indulging on those special occasions. I always keep three sizes. Svelte, so-so and "what happened to me?"

Doesn't Roger know that plus sizes never go out of style. (They never had any style to begin with, but they are comfy.)

Oh, and congratulations on your weight loss.

Cav mentioned the fact that he's lost 53 pounds in the last year. Ok, normally you would want to congratulate a person for that sort of accomplishment, but the thing is... Cav only weighed 88 pounds to start with!

I saw him walking down the sidewalk today. He looked healthy, had a certain bounce in his step, but I don't think I can get used to the "new" Cav.

Milkshakes won't cut it. I demand a suckling pig with all the trimmings.

Get a power washer. You can probably drop a few pounds in pigeon poop, just don't ruin that soft green patina!

In the past 6 months I lost 27 pounds on Trimspa. Didn't get into the low carb craze. Just limited my fat grams to 35-40 per day, no red meats and no fried foods.

Throw those old clothes away Noddy! Start anew. Congrats on your weight loss!

Okay, but you'll have to fix it yourself. I don't know how, and I wouldn't want to learn. Shocked

I'll bring you a special dessert, though. Okay?
