Romeo is thoughtful, romantic, and moody. He makes decisions quickly without thinking too much about what will happen. He is not hopeful about the future.

As many people have noted, the story of Romeo and Juliet is not a love story. It is a story about a couple of impulsive teenagers who, in the matter of two days, manage to get themselves and four or five other teenagers killed for no damned good reason.

Shakespeare screwed this one up royally.
