Stumped with 60 dn Spanish or Portuguese. I have I?E?I?N.
That appendage that they live on, sticking out of the European landmass, is the Iberian peninsula. I think it's been called Iberia since the Romans named it.
Apparently the ancient Greeks named it that, and passed it on to the Romans who also called it Hispania (whence "Spain")(or modern-day Espana (with a tilde over the n), which is very close still to Hispania)
@MontereyJack,
Thanks heaps!!! I can send it off now!!
