What's the finest furniture material and colour for pet hair?

I wish to acquire microfiber furniture (the felines aren't declawed). I wish to-know is this one of the most durable material for my money? Also, what colour should I decide so pet hair will not actually be too noticeable? I can not actually stop the creatures from getting on the sofas because they rest on it at evening and throughout the daytime once I am at work. So:
Best cloth?
Best colour?
Cleaning suggestions?

In Addition, I don't need to place a furniture cover over-the sofas. Thanks.

@Guvaw,
Ideally the best medium for hiding the nuisance of pet hair on furniture is to actually have the furniture upholstered in animal skins (complete with fur coat/animal hair and preferably by the same kind of animal as your pet).

Or furnish your homes with one of these:

@Guvaw,
Since you don't tell us what color hair your pets have, we are left to make assumptions. I'm going to assume that your cats have pink fur. Therefore, I'd recommend anything in the pink family of colors.

Something like this will camouflage the cat hair. To clean it, use the same flea comb you use on your cats.

@Guvaw,
Grey. I have one grey and white cat, and one who could be realisticly called orange. Grey is the only color of fabric that more or less conceals loose hairs from both. Regardless of color, a mottled or varigated fabric conceals hair and everything else better than any solid color.

You mention the felines haven't been declawed, so I assume color isn't the only issue. I don't think microfiber is the hot tip. On the other hand, I don't know of any other furniture covering they wouldn't like to stretch their claws against, nor anything that would stand up to that kind of use, and I include leather when I say that.

@roger,
For cleaning pet hairs, I've had the best luck with a lint brush. Mine happens to be from The-as-seen- on TV Guys, but there probably isn't much difference between brands.

@roger,
Or one can always completely shave the hair off of the cat. Never let it grow back. That will solve the problem indefinitely.

@Guvaw,
I've had as many as 3 dogs with a leather sofa & no problems. As noted in the comments, dogs can be trained to stay off the furniture but, even then, their claws are not usually sharp enough to do damage (unlike cats).

@Guvaw,
Aluminum for material - cats hate the feel of aluminum and will not claw it -- besides that cats will claw almost anything.
