This morning, just at dawn, i let the little dog out back. When i did, i saw the largest, most vivid rainbow i've ever seen. All of the colors were distinct--a deep red, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. It arced across the sky almost from horizon to horizon. As the sun rose, it began to fade. Some times you just get lucky.

He has been so sad since his friend died--i try to give him as much time as i can. He's been perking up lately, but he's never been a morning dog.
