In one word, no.
However, many children do have the potential of learning more and having access to all sorts of information if they choose to do so. While some children use the Internet constructively and for positive educational uses, many children do not. It's a wash (50-50 shot).
I can't see how they're more socialized. An increase in quantity of social contact doesn't mean an increase in quality of social contact.
