It was fun in the 1980s when I was stopped in traffic
at a stop sign near my house in NYC; I was rear-ended
by a marked NYC Police car. Of course, I dismounted
from my car n demanded his license n registration.

My thoughts strayed to Some bicyclists while watching this video.
Most bicyclists are totally fine, sharing the road is no problem.
I also don't mind when they take their right, and ride down the middle of the road, when there is no designated bike path.
However, there's the one's who, even if there is room, don't move to the right even slightly when there are cars around. I've been in a line behind a person on a bicycle, with literally 10 or more cars piled up, driving 15 miles an hour in a 35 mile/hr zone, because they wouldn't move over just a few feet. Then, when the clyclist would come to a stop sign, they would glance left/right and breeze through, while each car is required to stop.
The person on the bicycle is supposed to obey All the rules the people driving the cars do, including complete stops at stop signs and red lights.
Yet, some, like the cop, think they can pick and choose which to obey.

Good for this kid for calling out that cop on parking on the sidewalk.
If the cop was smart he would have explained that he needed to keep an eye on the bike in case of emergency - or even admitted that he was wrong to use the space, even for a minute. Instead he got an attitude and got all officious and came off as an asshole. Shame on this adult. I hope the exposure might set him straight, even make him lose his job.
