I am looking for two books by Lloyd C. Douglas. "The Fate of the Limited" published in 1919 and "The Inkeeper" publish date unknown. I have all known books published by him except for these two. His most famous works are "The Robe" "Magnificent Obsession" "Dr. Hudsons Secret Journal". Any information I can get about these publications would be great
Hey, flyrod. Welcome to A2K. My mother loved Lloyd C. Douglas. I don't know the books of which you speak, but I did read The Shoes of the Fisherman. Did he not write that book?

Hi Letty. He did write a book titled "The Big Fisherman" as a sequal to "The Robe". I have every known publication of Lloyd C. Douglas except the two I have listed. He was a very insparational writer. I have 3 titles that are not listed on any bibliography or mentioned in his biography. There may be other titles that I have not heard of. Thanks for the response.
Good grief, flyrod. Morris West wrote The Shoes of the Fisherman. I was young when I read that book, so I never paid attention to the authors. I think it was about the Pope assuming the role of the great unwashed so that he could see how the other half lived, and then distributed the wealth of the Roman Catholic Church among the poor and indigent.
The Big Fisherman I do recall, somewhat. Wasn't that the book where Douglas explained away Christ's miracles?
