Equality means Inequality
Facile equality will result in destructive inequality in the long run.
Equality without an understood purpose, can only be folly.
Altruist or Anarchist are the end values.
Equality had to be related to an objective, or objectives.
Individuals globally. Nations globally. Social and ethnic groups globally. Local communities.
Or, most sensibly, to all of those objectives in a rational balance so as to maintain diversity.
Apply this to migration.
In the past, massive migration from Europe, allied to persecution and disease, have decimated populations elsewhere. Even without disease, the disruptive effects of settlement in the Americas and Australasia, has resulted in population extinction, social disruption, and wholesale destruction of language and culture.
IF ANYTHING of value is to be preserved in this world, equality needs to relate to societies, communities, nations, ethnic and cultural groups, in order that it can apply sensibly to individuals.
Immigration as it has developed today, is getting back at the European. If Europe, and the UK, are to be more than mere geographical terms, European must mean something culturally. If a city were to attract immigrants, so that its citizens are of Asian descent, culture, religion, and even everyday language, it would be absurd to call that city European
