Hi English Teachers,
Is my sentence acceptable? Thank you in advance.
I am vying for a higher position at work because I have just completed a higher education.

@Loh Jane,
It's correct, but I don't expect to hear "I have just completed a higher education" We generally say higher education without an article.

In this context, one normally specifies a particular degree or course of training, rather than higher education, which sounds a little too vague.

@Loh Jane,
No ribbon for Roger?
If you click [select answer] in the bar right above his post, he gets a prize.
The prize is a ribbon.... sadly the prize is not a kiss from a pretty girl.

The sentence is fine, with the caveat that Roger provided.
