Have you read the latest paperback, "Shrink Rap"?

I loved all the V.I. Warshawski books (written by Sara Paretsky).... I'm waiting for "Blacklist" to come out in paperback....

Another great series is the Sharon McCone series (written by Marcia Muller)... I'm glad I read them in the order they were written, because there's a romantic sub-plot that flows slowly through the series....

As long as we're talking female detectives, we must mention Kinsey Millhone, in the Alphabet Series (written by Sue Grafton)....

Search on google "hit detective stories". I hope you will get all but "sherlock holmes" is the best.

One thing I hate about Amazon's book department is it's not well organized. For all the problems with Barnes & Nobel, at least good books are fairly easy to find.

Before Amazon came along I used to belong to the Mystery Club ( for books). Not too cheap, but many good reads.
