Nidaros Cathedral (Norwegian: Nidarosdomen / Nidaros Domkirke) Built over the burial site of Saint Olaf, the king of Norway in the 11th century, who became the patron saint of the nation. It is the northernmost medieval cathedral in the world.
The Pilgrim's Route, (Pilegrimsleden) also known as St. Olav's Way was a pilgrimage route to the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, The main route is approximately 640 kilometres (400 mi) long.
The Norwegian emmigrants founded St. Olaf College in Northfield Minnesota.
