Hi,i have a grandaughter due and i was wondering if any a2k uses have any knitting books for babies that they no longer need or use.I'm after books for layettes,booties etc to fit 0-12 months in any ply.I had lots of books from when i knitted for my kids but,due to a problem with dampness they have all been ruined.I am able to pay postage through paypal.If anyone can help I would be extremely grateful.I can't afford to buy them as i'm on a pension.
@foxyloxy4,
Hi foxyloxy - there are a lot of great free knitting patterns out there on the internet. Google "layette + pattern + free" and you'll be off to a good start.
I find Goodwill and Value Village good resources for knitting pattern books at low cost.
@foxyloxy4,
for example
http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/baby_sets.php
which includes many patterns, including
http://www.freevintageknitting.com/baby/little-angel-set-baby-pattern.html
you might remember it (I know I made it at least once)
from the same link
http://www.p2designs.com/pdfs/LonestarCard.pdf
there are literally hundreds more free knitting patterns out there
All I can say is I never knew a baby that can knit (or crochet).
@ehBeth,
thankyou for those addresses,that will be very helpful
