Hi,i'm stuck on the following
4A - Unsuitable sort of pianist is disregarded - ??A?T (im thinking INAPT)?
14A - Els found pole in great lake - E????
19A - Learn from note on pay increase - ME?O?I?? (is it MEMORIAL)?
56D - Support edges and bottoms - ?A??S?D?S (im thinking PALISADES)?
4D - Smoker in another scene - ??C?O?E
9D - Thoughtful firm resettled a resident - C???I??PA?E
10D - Smart to keep Mel extracting metal - S???T??P
Any help greatly appreciated

That's "Ernie" Els, the golfer.
The lake is Erie, the pole is 'N'.

I have:
4A = inapt
14A = ernie
19A = memorise
56 = backsides
4D = incense
9D = considerate
10D = smelting
Your 'o' at 15A is incorrect.
