We are saving money (and doing our part to help the climate) by turning off the heat in the house. In the nighttime here in Boston, it gets mighty cold. So I have been looking for something to wear on my head while I sleep.
My modern tuque is workable, but not the most comfortable. I found an old style nightcap for sale which looks cool, but I am not sure how comfortable that is either. The nightcaps seem to mostly be used for costumes rather than for sleeping.
What do you all wear on your heads while you sleep?
@maxdancona,
Just one of those sleep masks for the eyes and foam ear plugs, I'm a really light sleeper and sleep terribly without them. I sleep very well with them.
I tend to put a pillow over my head--one of the floppier ones, like down or down-and-feathers. Good when the room's not completely dark, too. And for years I'd had cold feet in bed, except maybe in July and August, and sometimes even then. A couple years ago, inspiration finally struck, a couple decades belatedly: wear socks to bed. Problem solved.
@maxdancona,
How about a cat? I got one here for 'ya.
@MontereyJack,
Socks are a great idea. I have a pair of wool socks I was gifted that are too thick to wear normally but work great in bed. I move around while I am sleeping, I am not sure the pillow idea will work for me.
@maxdancona,
Yup .. and rather warm...but a tad loud when it purrs.
night cap is like so old fashioned...
