Any bass guitar players out there?

Run it through your PC with a pedal, an X-fi or better and a guitar prog, there is a free one which blows the rest away.. if you are not happy with your guitaring after getting reasonable, you do not have to buy the amp, plus all the effects are built in, though how many you need are based on what you do, so bass guitar, maybe not such an issue.

Headphones and testing all kinds of setups before purchase, its really quite good.

Just my advice, but I suppose you might prefer to get an amp.. It is just there are different kinds which sound different, you can try them.
