@hinesecedrela,
It's possibly very harmful, and it must certanly be watched very carefully. But numerous studies have now been done, and they appear to be useful and do not report any dangerous unwanted effects.

These are done in kiddies whom they know are poor in the hormone normally, so they're merely changing a hormone that needs to be there. This isn't done for simply "short" people, however in people who're extremely and congenitally brief, with potential health issues. Number reputable physician would get it done for an ordinary child that's simply smaller than most.

Here are a few of the articles:
Therapy of achondroplasia with development hormone: six years of experience. Effectation of growth hormone treatment in kiddies with hypothalamic-pituitary purpose, achondroplasia: growth routine, and genotype. Growth hormones therapy in 35 prepubertal kiddies with achondroplasia: a five-year dose-response test. These are the abstracts; the particular articles are available.

@Anchusaazurea,
A doctor will have to provide the therapy and I doubt many will risk the potential liability.

@hinesecedrela,
Just give them plenty of water, sunshine and fertilizer and they'll thrive without the pills.
