Confessions of a troll

I had never considered myself a troll but merely whimsical. However the typical forum participant who seems terribly angry at all times about nearly everything has so often labeled me thus, I must ultimately accept his accusation

I have noted over the years on many different forums his tendency to react even to the most innocent posting, sometimes using the most insulting or even raunchy language. So I'd advise the novice troll to proceed in spite of repeated cries of foul because you'll be attacked no matter what you post

When he assails your most unimpeachable posting and you respond that you had meant no harm but that his reaction seems angry, he responds, "No, not true, I'm not angry, I'm not, I'm NOT, I tell you"

However you will have doubts from time to time, you're permitted to have common emotions. Indeed I ask myself from time to time, "Why do you continue to inflict yourself on all these poor folk"

…... though once you realize how trivial all that contention, the less daunting. As an honest-to-god troll, however, you should expect to be occasionally banned from a site, especially if you should happen to criticize its Admin

While a typical participant is drawn to the Internet forum by its anonymity and the opportunity to vent his repressed visceral umbrage, the typical Administrative position attyracts the member attempting to compensate for a felt lack of power in his everyday existence. So, often he expresses his newfound dominion by denouncing the supposed infractions of a participant, often for the most trivial reason, even throwing you off his forum for a week or two

As a form of "punishment" subconsciously he delights even in the permanent, or lifetime, ban, impervious to the objection of his victim who notes, " Hey fellas, even the murderer gets paroled". As a professional troll however you must not let the occasional ban deter you

In that connection I take the opportunity herewith to express my most sincere thanks to the a2k Admin, the most liberal such agency I've encountered at any such forum. Almost anywhere else I would have been banned long ago
