Cis, you might know

I understand a2k boasts over 100k participants. Judging from the relatively sparse response to some of my postings, however, I am wondering how many of us are active

Of course a large part of the reason might be that I'm just not that interesting

@dalehileman,
i for one am unclear on some of your posts (ie i don't experience or understand fully the problem)

as for others it could be, like the IMG thread you just started, that they just except the way things are and see no reason to challenge or change

Of course Dj I can well understand. On any particular point however I'd be most glad to elaborate. I for one can go on forever…….

It's very interesting Dj that you should so assert because I've maintained for the longest time that the typical American will put up with almost anything indefinitely

For instance the inability of Mac ed. to recognize misspellings such as "don;t" or "oer" and hundreds if not thousands of similar insults to the English-speaking PC user, positively incredible that almost nobody but me and possibly Enzo are the least bit concerned

(No offense Dj, I'm sure4 that down deep you agree with us. Burt what do you suppose I might have meant by "sure4" and how can Burt be so much more important)

If it were the habit to walk on one's hands, the three of us might point out, "See, here fellas, allaya, how much easier it is using your feet…." we'd be hounded and persecuted, throughly rejected at every Internet forum. "But you're upside down," they'd insist

but posting images is as easy as walking upright, pics from the internet are the easiest, your own pics need simply be hosted, it's not reinventing the wheel

as for editing, i never noticed a problem in mac, maybe i review my work more closely since i'm a laborious typist (two fingers only)

@dalehileman,
copy paste would also involve much more server space for images

if you could simply copy paste the image here, it would then be transferred to the boards server in order to keep it displayed, this would be an incredible waste of server space

I get meanie to Dale and have to stop myself.

I could explain every bit of how to post photos using my imac, have done it before which is searchable, but I simply do not have the patience, I get too irritated with Dale. I have been counting on djjd.

Oh, and what is cis?

To Andy, Mac is slightly different and actually easier, at least from when I used to use a pc.

Of course

Should be "Cic" I guess, he's an old-timer here and you know him well, it's like "macaroni" but "Cis" rolls easier off the tongue and suggests a sightseeing facility or a pasta. Just a way to remember names

@dalehileman,
Sheesh, he's referring to Cicerone Imposter.
He thrives on truncating peoples' user names.

So cute.

Thanks for explaining that Dj and it sounds like a pretty good reason. But at some such sites don't they let you anyhow

But golly if it were me I'd just devise a simple routine to automatically change the link to a URL but maybe I'm totally naive in this sort of thing

Sure Oss why not

By actual count in the past 17 years using a PC I've saved thereby 55,678,323, 047 strokes--give or take three or four

@dalehileman,
because it is discourteous, especially if they have asked you not to do that, as I have.

Nicknames do happen out of internet fondness, and if the person doesn't like it, are usually stopped.

I continue to think of you as one of the most passive aggressive posters I have ever run across, and not because of your age and loudly and often proclaimed incipient alzheimers, since I assume you have always been this way.
