Is that fiscal cliff eminent?

Both sides of congress, the democrats and republicans, have hard lines they will not pass. Will there be enough compromise, or will this congress allow the downgrade of our bonds to win their point?

How much fear does congress really have about this "cliff?" They're probably going to play chicken, but I hope Obama sticks to his stance of higher taxes for the wealthy. If he doesn't, he can kiss the remaining four years of his term as "always-negotiable for the GOP."
