The purpose for this experiment is to determine the microbial load of both pasteurized and unpasteurized milk and to be able to determine the different types of organisms in the samples. To determine the microbial load the experiment will be performed by counting the number of colonies of bacteria that grow after one ml of the milk samples have been used with the different dilutions and incubated on standard media for 48 hours at 32 C, the Standard Plate Count should between 30 and 300 colonies to allow for counting.
