There is not anything especially 'eternal' about 'thoughts' (or anything else); we perceive guitars and music and the moon and thoughts....

Consciousness perceives that which Is, in this case, an 'idea' = 'thought'. You do not create or store 'thoughts', you perceive That Which Is.
'Thoughts/ideas' are particular features/Perspectives of 'That Which Is, the One Reality.
