GEORGE HARRISON Tribute Concert on PBS

Last night PBS aired The George Harrison Tribute Concert which was performed at Albert Hall sometime in the recent past. Did anyone see it?

Some of my thoughts:

**Eric Claptons playing on "My Guitar Gently Weeps" -- I think the best and most heartfelt rock guitar performances I've EVER experienced.

**"Something" beginning with Paul on the Uke, then segwaying into the full fledged version. It doesn't get much better than that.

**Tears throughout, especially on "Beware of Darkness" and even more on "Alll things Must Pass".

What a lovely man. What wonderful friends and family.

We have the dvd, fealola. It always makes me cry. His son Dhani is his spitting image.

I read an artical about Dhani a while back. I seem to remember that other than this concert and cataloging his dads music, he has nothing to do with the music biz and that he's something like a physics major at MIT. I thought that was cool. Nothing like alot of the wannabe offspring of rock stars. (He sure kept up well with the band!)

Have you heard the Brainwashed album? It's very different from the rest of George's music. Very personal and sweet.

I videotaped this the other night, the rendition of "While my guitar gently weeps" by Messrs Clapton, Macca, Lynne, Ringo and others was truly outstanding, I gotta have the dvd of this.
